Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park earned national recognition when Maclean's Magazine ranked its beach among the top ten in Canada — and anyone who has visited in July understands why. The lake's shallow, sandy-bottomed bay warms to bathtub temperatures by midsummer, creating swimming conditions that are hard to match anywhere in the province. The beach itself is wide and gently sloping, ideal for families with young children, and the surrounding aspen forest gives the park a pleasant shaded character away from the waterfront.

Beyond the beach, Good Spirit Lake offers a full campground with serviced sites, flush washrooms, and showers, along with trails through the mixed parkland habitat surrounding the lake. Fishing for perch and pike rounds out the activity mix, and the park's location in east-central Saskatchewan — close to Yorkton — makes it accessible from a broad range of the province. Summer weekends fill up fast, so booking ahead is strongly recommended between Canada Day and late August.
