The Battlefords Provincial Park

The Battlefords Provincial Park occupies the northeast shore of Jackfish Lake in west-central Saskatchewan, and the lake's warm, relatively clear water is the park's main attraction through the summer months. Swimming, boating, and water sports draw visitors from North Battleford and beyond, and the sandy lakeshore has a comfortable, well-established feel after decades of use. Walleye and perch fishing are consistently productive, particularly in spring and early summer before the recreational boat traffic intensifies.

The campground is one of the larger ones in the western part of the province, with a full range of site types from electrical to full-service, along with modern washrooms, showers, and a trailer dump. The park's trail network winds through the mixed forest and grassland surrounding the lake. The Battlefords — the twin cities of North Battleford and Battleford — are just a short drive away, providing full services and access to historical sites connected to the 1885 Resistance and the early NWMP presence in the region.
